RedLine. Dual Antenna. Incredible Range.

Superior Detection
The RedLine includes full X, K, SuperWide Ka, and Safety Warning System radar capability, front and rear laser detection, complete with digital signal processing (DSP) for superior long-range ability and reduced false alarms. The exclusive AutoMode intelligently reduces false alarms, plus Highway and Auto NoX settings. And no need to worry about range: dual antenna with a varactor-tuned receiver provide the longest range possible against all radar threats.

Ultra-bright 280-LED alphanumeric display. Click to enlarge.

Includes quick-release windshield mount with suction cups, coiled SmartCord, travel case. Click to enlarge.

Ultimate Undetectability
Beltronics' TotalShield RF Technology provides the ultimate in undetectability. The exclusive technology makes the RedLine invisible to radar detector detectors, including the latest technologies like VG-2 and Spectre.

Mute and AutoMute
Escort's patented AutoMute feature automatically reduces the alert volume after initially alerting you at your selected volume. This keeps you informed without the annoyance of a continuous full-volume alert. If you'd prefer, you can turn the AutoMute feature off.

Easy to Use
Enjoy control right at your fingertips using the included SmartPlug power cord. Patented Mute and AutoMute technology on the cord allows you to quickly silence alerts without reaching for the detector. Simple preference settings lets you customize up to 8 features.

Installation is also a breeze: use the quick release mount to attach it to your vehicle's windshield, and remove it in a snap. A durable zipper travel case is included to take the unit with you, or neatly conceal it in your vehicle.

Ultra-Bright Text Display
Don't miss a visual alert with the Redline's 280-LED alphanumeric display. With five levels of brightness viewable from any angle, it's easy to track and display multiple radar signals, including signal strength. The new SpecDisplay provides actual numeric radar frequency for any radar signal, and you can also view Safety Warning System (SWS) messages about upcoming hazards, construction and more.

Safety Radar
Safety Warning System, or SWS, uses a modified K-band radar signal to alert users of Highway Construction or Maintenance, Highway Hazard Zone Advisories, Weather Related Hazards, Travel Information/Convenience, and Fast/Slow Moving Vehicles. The SWS safety radar system has 64 possible messages (60 currently allocated), all of which can be displayed on your C65.

One Year Limited Warranty
Get extra peace of mind with Escort's one-year limited warranty. The company also offers a two year extended service plan.

5 out of 5 stars Another great escort product   August 27, 2010

This is the 3rd escort I have owned in 25 years. Lets me enjoy driving in some of the wide open spaces out west and warns me in plenty of time when I need to be attentive. Alarm is loud enough to be heard with t-tops off, windows down, and music loud enough to be heard.

4 out of 5 stars Worth the $$   August 8, 2010

This unit replaces my older Bel RX 65 which was doing a good job until I received two close encounters with NJ State Troopers. Maybe the unit weakened after 5 years of continuous use or radar technology advanced beyond its capabilities? In any case I finally pulled the trigger on the RedLine. After a month of use I can say its detection range is far superior to my old Bel and has already paid itself back after my most recent trip! Though it has plenty of horsepower, I am concerned how will it fare against future threats like quick trigger, Laser/LADAR and safety cameras. I've seen videos where laser picks off cars a mile away. Thankfully Northern NJ police don't seem to need state of the art radar technology as there are just so many people to easily pick off.

5 out of 5 stars The new long range champ   July 5, 2010

The Escort Redline is the new long range champ for portable radar detectors. It has mind blowing detection ability. On flat, open roads (deserts mostly) I've seen 11 mile alerts. However, where the Redline really shines is its over hills and around corners detection ability. If you spend any time driving twisty canyon and mountain roads like I do, the Redline is your best and only option in a portable detector ... nothing else comes close.

Being as sensitive as it is, the Redline is not for everyone. It has minimal filtering, so it is also one of the more "chatty" detectors around. It will alert to every door opener for miles around. If you want quiet, consider the 9500ix which uses GPS to lock out falses, but if you want maximum range, the Redline is the best.

5 out of 5 stars Works Very Well...Glad I Purchased It! My Wife is Happy With It, Too!   May 14, 2010

I just had the chance to really break in the device this past weekend on our trip to San Diego from Las Vegas and back. I drive 80 miles daily to work and back home, but I don't see too many officers because of how early I leave. And to be quite honest, I wasn't sure it was a smart "investment". As I had alluded to, I had a chance this past weekend to really see it in action. Anybody that has driven the I-15 between Vegas and CA knows there are quite a few Highway Patrol vehicles out, but those numbers have seemingly increased. In a 1.5 hours time, we saw, no joke, five cruisers. This past weekend the Redline consistently warned us at about 2 statute mi out. On one occasion we received a 3 mi warning. However, I'm not exactly sure if that range was from that particular cruiser or if I received the 2 mi warning from the cruiser in front of it and then the warning just continued to the second cruiser...appearing that I received the 3 mi range. In any case, it warned me far in advance for both of them in that case.... I guess what I'm saying is this detector works and it works very well.
I have completely turned off the X-Band sensor and TSR is on. Now the only "false" alerts I receive in town are from a couple of stores with the K sensor door openers (CVS and Walgreens have always given me issues). But this has really decreased with the TSR on and running in Auto.
My wife wasn't really happy with me putting down $-4-5-0 for this detector (really good price through a 10% off link...I can let you know about it if you like), but that changed quickly after she saw how well it was working this past weekend. Believe it or not, she was bragging about it with the family more than I was. Lol.
To end this long review, I will say that this device even allowed my 6 year old son and I to have father-son time when the wife and girls were asleep for an hour or two. We turned the detection into a game: Who can spot the Police Car first. My wife was surprised when after she woke up, my son was saying, "Uh oh, Daddy! Ka Band...that has to be a police!" Lol. I hope this long and drawn out review helps at least one person "pull the trigger". It took me a long time and a lot of reading reviews and articles before I decided to spend this amount of money for this particular detector. I'm very happy that I did.

1 out of 5 stars Doesn't Pick Up Lasar Any Better Than A Basic Model   April 30, 2010

I'm an experienced radar user and liked the specs of this model. I typically wouldn't spend this much on a radar detector, but my current one is getting dated and the other reviews insisted this was worth the money. It's NOT. I recently went on a 300 mile trip from St. Louis to Chicago and took this device with me. I usually see about 1 or 2 speed traps on the way, but this time I saw 5. How many times did the radar detector alert me? Zero. In fact, I was finally zapped with a laser on the 5th one, about 30 miles outside of Chicago. $100 ticket. You could make the argument that maybe all the cops were using radar, which is harder to pick up. I would counter by saying that (1) I was among other cars so the device should have sensed the cops ahead tagging other cars and (2) if it doesn't pick up Laser very well, then what's the point (since most cops use that anyways)? My old $100 detector would often times pick up Laser well ahead of time from other cars getting tagged. In fact, when I got my ticket, I was in very heavy traffic, to the point that I was surprise he was able to get a clear shot of me. The device blared 'LASER', then a cop slid right in behind me. Not very effective if it tells you WHEN you're getting tagged and not warning you before. I'm not giving this a bad review b/c I got a ticket. I was speeding, I deserve it. I'm giving this a bad review b/c it never went off when I clearly passed other cops clocking people. The only reason I didn't get a ticket through those is because I was being alert and not relying on the detector. I got lazy when I got close to my destination... All in all, the $100 ticket is saving me $400 because I'm returning this. At this price, the performance should be flawless. It's clearly not. Save your money.
